One Contract. One Team. Let’s Do This.
Go Pro Construction delivers architecture, engineering, permits, design, and construction under a single integrated process, eliminating the gaps, delays, and miscommunication that come with the traditional architect-then-bid approach.
A Simpler, Smarter Way to Remodel
The traditional approach to home renovation asks you to hire an architect, wait for drawings, go out to bid, hire a contractor, and hope the two teams stay aligned. It’s slow, expensive, and leaves you managing the relationship between people who have never worked together. Go Pro eliminates that entirely.
Our design-build model puts architecture, engineering, permitting, material selection, and construction under one contract and one point of contact. Design decisions are made with real construction costs in front of you. Drawings are produced by people who will also build the project. Permits are filed by the same team that scheduled them into the build timeline. The result is a shorter overall timeline, more accurate pricing, and a finished project that reflects what was actually designed.
What the Go Pro Design-Build Process Includes
Design-build isn’t just a contract structure. It’s a fundamentally different way of delivering a project.
- Design to build under one roof: Architectural drawings, engineering, material selections, 3D renderings, and a detailed scope of work are all produced before construction begins.
- Make every selection in person: Our 800 sq ft design center in Gaithersburg puts cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, and finish samples in front of you.
- One point of contact: From the first design meeting to the final walkthrough, Go Pro Construction owns the process.

Design-Build Frequently Asked Questions
In a traditional process, you hire an architect to produce drawings, then take those drawings out to bid, then hire a separate contractor to build. The two parties have different incentives and limited accountability to each other — and you’re the one managing the relationship between them.
In a design-build model, one firm handles both. Design decisions are made with real construction knowledge in the room, budgets are tracked in real time during design, and there’s a single contract covering everything from first drawing to final inspection.
Depending on project scope, the design phase typically includes architectural drawings, layout plans, engineering coordination, material selections and specifications, and 3D renderings or visual concepts. A detailed scope of work document is prepared before construction begins. This is the document that drives accurate pricing, permitting submissions, and the construction schedule.
Go Pro operates an 800 sq ft design center in Gaithersburg where clients make material selections in person with guidance from the team. For complex projects, a licensed architect is brought in for on-site walkthroughs to provide immediate structural and design feasibility input. Engineering coordination is managed in-house throughout the design phase.
Not typically — and often less so when total project cost is considered. The traditional approach adds time (a separate bid phase), increases the risk of design-to-construction scope gaps that generate change orders, and requires the homeowner to manage two separate professional relationships.
Design-build reduces all three of those cost drivers. Pricing is also more accurate earlier, because construction cost input is part of the design process from the start.
You can absolutely bring your own selections. Go Pro’s showroom is a resource, not a requirement. That said, clients who source materials through the showroom benefit from preferred vendor pricing and have ordering and delivery coordinated directly with the project schedule.
Permitting is managed entirely in-house. This applies across Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Because the design team and construction team are the same, the drawings submitted for permit are already built around how the project will actually be constructed, which reduces the back-and-forth that often slows permit approvals.
Design-build works well for almost any significant renovation, including whole-home remodels, kitchen and bathroom renovations, home additions, basement conversions, and structural projects. It is particularly valuable for complex or multi-phase projects where coordination between design and construction decisions is critical.
